An Urban Plot

image
An Urban Plot is a diverse micro eco-farm located on a city lot in the Oakley neighborhood of Asheville. Our mission is to provide nutritious local produce grown by holistic, sustainable methods for our family and community. To that end, we use open-pollinated and heirloom varieties to grow a seasonal mix of vegetables, berries, and edible flowers. We market through a weekly email with pick-up at the farm. Our blog, An Urban Plot: or how to grow food and change the world one city lot at a time, serves as a multi-purpose resource to the greater community by chronicling our quest to produce organic food, sharing the adventures of a new way of thinking about lawns and yards, and as an exploration of urban self-sufficiency and homesteading in the city.
